The humble carrot usually serves only as a small snack or a colorful side dish (or perhaps as the healthiest ingredient in a carrot cake!). But when you discover how many health benefits this orange marvel has, you may want to start heating the juicer. Here are 9 reasons why you should include carrot juice in your daily diet.

Apart from vitamin A, which helps maintain the retina, carrot juice contains antioxidant compounds such as lutein and zeaxanthin that can prevent the loss of vision associated with age. This way you will know how much nutrition you have received with a 200 ml serving. However, if you are eating carrots, the size of the vegetable will matter. A skinny woman can have less than a plump one. A heavy can have more than a light. A carrot can be long, another short. Surely you understand!
Careful with This!
Keep in mind that your carrots need to be processed correctly to keep the nutrient content intact. If carrots come into contact with a lot of heat during processing or are exposed to the air for a long time during the process, nutrient levels are reduced. Storage also plays a key role – if the juice is exposed to heat and light for too long, its vitamin A, -carotene and β-carotene content, and the lutein content will decrease. One way to solve this problem is fresh carrot juice or buys fresh cold pressed juices and drinks them as soon as possible. That way you can be sure that what you are drinking fulfills your promise. Carrot juice should not completely replace your daily consumption of fruits and vegetables, but it is certainly a great (and easy!)
